Addu City Council has decided to close all\nbusiness avenues in Addu City after 1800hrs every day in an effort to contain\nthe spread of COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a statement released by the city\ncouncil, all shops, cafes and restaurants in the city should only be open from\n0600hrs to 1800hrs every day, effective from March 26. The council also said\nrestaurants and cafes\u2019 will be permitted to do delivery services from 1800hrs\nto 2200hrs after requesting a special permit from the Island Office.\nAdditionally, businesses opened for 24hrs are also advised to request a special\npermit from the Island Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Moreover, the city council stated food\ntruck services will only be permitted for areas with proper hand washing\nstations. The council further stated food trucks are not permitted to sell\nshort eats, coffee and \u201cmaskaashi\u201d adding food trucks must remove any chairs\nand tables set up in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
