Maldives Police Service has launched an investigation of a case in which a tourist vacationing in a Maldivian resort was raped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police said that a case of rape of a tourist on vacation at a resort in K. Atoll was reported on 6th June 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Samples needed for the investigation are being taken and questioned, police said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police said that no arrests have been made in the case and that the incident is under investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sources report that the victim is a Chinese who is pursuing studies in Australia. She had come to Maldives with a dive group. The woman alleges that she was raped by the butler assigned to her room at the resort.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
