The newly appointed Ambassador of Hungary to the Maldives, Istv\u00e1n Szab\u00f3 paid a courtesy call on the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Khaleel, yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
State Minister Khaleel warmly welcomed Ambassador Szab\u00f3 and congratulated him on presenting credentials as the Non-Resident Ambassador of Hungary to the Maldives. During the meeting, State Minister Khaleel highlighted the deepened ties of friendship between the Maldives and Hungary, particularly in the past two years following high level visits from Minister Szijj\u00e1rt\u00f3 to the Maldives in November 2022 and Minister Shahid’s visit to Hungary this month. Discussions further focused on expanding trade ties, education cooperation and enhancing people to people ties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
State Minister Khaleel and Ambassador Szab\u00f3 reiterated commitments to continue the existing cooperation between the two countries in the bilateral and multilateral fora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
