International Scout and Guide Fellowship (ISGF) Regional Committee of Asia Pacific has been appointed Dr Mariyam Shakeela as their chairperson. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prior to her appointment, Dr Mariyam Shakeela is currently also serving as the Vice-Chair for the Regional Committee of Asia Pacific ISGF. The appointment comes after the current Chairman Brian Jackson could no longer serve his duty due to his health condition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking with AO news, Dr Shakeel has stated the association’s chairman Brain duties was delegated to her after Brain’s stepped away from his duties due to his health reasons. According to Dr Shakeel, she was appointed after being by committee members and with support from all committee members. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr Mariyam Shakeel has previously served as Former Cabinet Minister of Government of Maldives (Environment, Health, Gender Family and Human Rights, Foreign Ministry), Former Chairperson for Executive Board of WHO (World Health Organization), Former council member of IRENA (International Renewable Energy Agency) and currently the Honorary Consul of Belgium in the Maldives.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
