The Maldives Meteorological Service (MET Office) has issued white alert for the central atolls of Maldives due to bad weather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The white alert has been issued for islands between K. Atoll and Dh. Atoll from 10 a.m. till 3 p.m. today. According to MET Office, heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected in these areas during these hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Weather forecasts say that between 8 p.m. yesterday and 8 p.m. today, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected in north and central area and few showers are expected in southern atolls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, surface winds will be light and variable in north and southernmost area, becoming southwest\/westerly at 03 \u2013 13 mph elsewhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
MET Office also predicts that the seas are expected to be slight and the wave height will be between 1-3 feet.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
