Amongst these, 4,257 were vaccinated in the Greater Male&#8217; Area, while 1,129 of the vaccinations are from the atolls and 99 people were from the resorts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, so far a total of 38,591 people have received the Covid-19 vaccine across Maldives, including 31,322 in the Greater Male&#8217; Area and 7,170 from the atolls and 99 from resorts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The vaccine currently being used in the Maldives is the Covishield vaccine developed by the AstraZeneca-Oxford University, and manufactured by the Serum Institute of India.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Health Protection Agency of the Maldives (HPA) has confirmed that over 5,000 people were vaccinated for Covid-19 across the Maldives yesterday.
