Amongst these, 3,285 were vaccinated in the Greater Male&#8217; Area, while 625 of the vaccinations are from the atolls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, so far a total of 20,161 people have received the Covid-19 vaccine across Maldives, including 16,703 in the Greater Male&#8217; Area and 3,458 from the atolls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The vaccine currently being used in the Maldives is the Covishield vaccine developed by the AstraZeneca-Oxford University, and manufactured by the Serum Institute of India.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Health Protection Agency of the Maldives (HPA) has confirmed that over 20,000 people have received the Covid-19 vaccine in the Maldives.
