Health Protection Agency announced a total 29 individuals have fully recovered from COVID-19 in Maldives.

Speaking at a press conference held at National Emergency Operation Centre (NEOC), Spokesperson for NEOC, Mabrouq Azeez stated 9 individuals fully recovered from COVID-19 on May 9 taking the total number of recoveries to 29. Among the 29 recoveries includes, 16 Maldivians and 13 foreign nationals.

Maldives has reported a total 785 cases of COVID-19 including 257 Maldivians and 528 foreign nationals. Additionally, Maldives also reported 3 death cases of COVID-19, an 83 year old female who passed away on Aril 30, a Bangladesh national who passed away on May 5 and an 80 year old male who passed away on May 7.

Moreover, the administration has extended the period of State of Public Health Emergency declared on Maldives until May 31.
